Introduction

This policy document contains the policy statements, organisation and arrangements for implementing our policy that has been adopted by the Company to minimise the risk of personal injury and property damage to help effectively manage Health and Safety.  The arrangements are intended to provide clear guidance to assist employees in complying with the safety standards set out in this document to help preserve their own personal safety and that of others.  Each arrangement carries with it specific responsibilities in addition to those stated in Section 2 of this document.

Health and Safety is often considered as a “bolt on” element of Company’s activities, Coinford believe that this is not the case.  By following these arrangements and procedures and incorporating them in to the Method Statements and Risk Assessments, we can deliver a safe and systematic approach that is achieved with minimal disruption and delay.

A set of H&S forms within the Safety Management System, have been produced to support these arrangements and procedures.  This will enable the user of this manual to check that he has met the requirements of this document and produce an audit trail for cross-reference and record purposes. 

A prepared set of generic Method Statements and Risk Assessments have also been produced as part of the Safety Management System.  These generic documents, supported by these Arrangements and Procedures, must be individually reviewed and made specific to a particular project.

A COSHH Assessment library and templates and an array of standard Toolbox Talks have been produced to support our policy, arrangements and operating procedures on site, all of which can be found on the Coinford Hub.
