It is our Managements function to provide the right circumstances under which work may be carried out safely.  When meeting our statutory obligations, we will ensure that Health and Safety is met with the same priority as any of our other business objectives and we recognise that this provides a firm foundation on which to support the company’s activities.

The Directors of Coinford fully endorse this policy and its procedures and expect all employees and subcontractors to fully support our Health and Safety Management System and its requirements.  Employees must also understand that they have a legal duty not only to work in a safe manner, in accordance with our Method Statements and Risk Assessments, but also to co-operate with the Management to enable them to comply with their statuary duties.

In its pursuance of these objectives, Coinford will:

Through continual development and maintenance of our management system that we support and monitor the Health and Safety requirements of the Company, and ensure so far as it reasonably practicable, that procedures and practices are implemented as a minimum standard to meet with current legislation and Approved Codes of Practice

Make every reasonable effort to promote amongst our employees a genuine awareness of safety matters and to create an understanding of the importance of safe working practices and the use of protective clothing and safety equipment.  Employees will be provided with the opportunity and encouraged to involve themselves fully in the safety activities and the reporting of unsafe conditions or practices. 

Ensure that this statement is displayed in all places of work and that the arrangements for implementing this policy are communicated to all employees.  Health and Safety will be discussed as the initial item at all meetings.

Appoint competent personnel to advise the Company and its employees on all matters relevant to Health and Safety and provide sufficient funding to allow this policy to be implemented.​​​​​​​

Provide the necessary and appropriate training so that employees will meet the required level of Health and Safety awareness and competence to enable them to carry out their duties safely.

​​​​​​​The policy statement may be amended, monitored and added to as necessary to conform to new and amended Legislation and Approved Codes of Practice.
