All chemicals, including solvents and paints must be stored only in the designated areas on site.

Where fuel, oil or chemicals are drawn from drums mounted on stillages, ensure that drip trays are provided and properly used.
Always decant liquids, using a funnel where necessary, into proper containers with sealable caps - never use buckets or open-topped containers.
When re-fuelling plant and vehicles take care to avoid spillages and overflows.
In the event of a spillage of oil or chemicals the aim should be to recover or contain as much as possible, before it seeps into the ground or enters the drainage system.
Ensure spill kits are available in the vicinity of stored chemicals and bowsers.
Repair any plant that has had a leak reported.
Dispose of all waste materials only in accordance with the site rules.
Do not light fires on site.
Store chemicals and fuel as far as practicable from water sources.
